247 - The Brazilian Supreme Court (STF) has signaled that it will not allow Jair Bolsonaro to take measures that undermine the control that governors, mayors, other authorities, and society itself are exercising to contain the pandemic in Brazil.

Most ministers are willing to prevent the occupant of the Planalto Palace from making moves to loosen measures against the spread of Covid-19, reports the journalist. Matheus Teixeira in Folha de S.Paulo.

Members of the Court are troubled by Bolsonaro's statements containing threats to downplay the need for social isolation.

According to the report, these ministers have been discussing behind the scenes how to ensure the government's technical approach to tackling the coronavirus outbreak.
