Stoppa: Moro is being paid by Lula's biggest enemies.
Presenter Leonardo Stoppa condemns Moro's bias and says that the first-instance judge should not be in possession of the former president's case. "The interest in convicting is not difficult to prove; Sérgio Moro is being paid, albeit indirectly, by Lula's greatest enemies. This type of relationship should not occur, but in the coup state we are living in, anything is possible," he denounces. Watch the full episode of Léo ao Quadrado.
TV 247 - The Léo ao Quadrado program this Tuesday (22) highlighted the arbitrariness of the Brazilian judiciary that intensified with the state of exception. Presenter Leonardo Stoppa points out that Judge Sérgio Moro, due to his proximity to the top leadership of the PSDB, should not judge the former president. "Moro is being paid by Lula's biggest enemies," he denounces.
Former governor of Minas Gerais, Eduardo Azeredo (PSDB-MG), accused of involvement in embezzlement and money laundering schemes, could be arrested at any moment, as all appeals to keep him free have been exhausted. In Stoppa's opinion, nothing will change. "I refuse to debate before this arrest takes place; something could happen and he won't be arrested. Eduardo Azeredo knows a lot, he was even president of the PSDB; it's not easy to put such a big shot in jail, unless he follows the example of former congressman Eduardo Cunha (PMDB-RJ) and spends some time silent in prison," he predicts.
Lula's defense team has requested that Judge Sérgio Moro be removed from the criminal case concerning the Atibaia property due to his relationship with the former mayor of São Paulo and pre-candidate for governor, João Doria Junior (PSDB-SP). The petition cites numerous events in which Moro was present with Doria and how the politician used his relationship with the federal judge for campaign purposes.
Stoppa condemns Moro's bias and says that the first-instance judge should not have been in possession of the former president's case. "The interest in convicting is not difficult to prove; Sérgio Moro has been paid, albeit indirectly, by Lula's greatest enemies, such as Globo Network, which has been highlighting the judge since the beginning of the process. This type of relationship should not occur, but in the coup state we are living in, anything is possible," he denounces.
