Supreme Court ruling on secret budget is 'political activism,' says Bolsonaro's government leader in the Chamber of Deputies.

The government's leader in the Chamber of Deputies stated that the Transition Amendment will "constitutionalize" the mechanism, making discussion in the Supreme Federal Court unnecessary.

247 - Deputy Ricardo Barros (PP-PR), leader of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government in the Chamber, described as “political activism” the judgment of the so-called secret budget of the current administration, used to co-opt the support of parliamentarians in the National Congress, by the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The judgment of the constitutionality of the measure by the Court is scheduled for Wednesday (7).

According to the congressman, the secret budget will be enshrined in the Constitution through the vote on the Transition Amendment, which was scheduled by the Senate president, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD), to be analyzed by the plenary of the Legislative House on Wednesday. “Pure political activism. If it's going to be written into the amendment, it will be enshrined in the Constitution, therefore the discussion in the Supreme Court becomes unnecessary,” Barros told [the source]. CNN Brazil
