247 - A court decision by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) resulted in the freezing of the bank account of Antônio Aginaldo de Oliveira, a retired colonel of the Military Police and husband of federal congresswoman Carla Zambelli (PL-SP). This information comes from... CNN Brazil.
The colonel, who commanded the National Force during the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) administration, was in charge of the Public Security Secretariat of the municipality of Caucaia, in Ceará. In June, he was dismissed from his position by the city hall. Before that, in May, Oliveira had already requested leave from his duties, citing "illness of a relative"—in this case, his wife, a member of parliament, currently detained in Italy.
The congresswoman had her arrest ordered after being sentenced to ten years in prison, also in May of this year. The court understood that Zambelli acted in conjunction with the hacker Walter Delgatti in the invasion of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) system. In addition to the prison sentence, the congresswoman was sentenced to pay a fine and to lose her mandate.
Zambelli is now awaiting a hearing that will determine whether she will face trial in Italy or be extradited to Brazil.
