Solnik: Bolsonaro is the one dismantling Lava Jato.
"We don't know if it's intentional or unintentional, but the fact is that the Bolsonaro government is dismantling the operation," said the journalist during the Bom Dia 247 program. Watch.
247 - Journalist Alex Solnik, participating in the Bom dia 247 program this Wednesday (29), noted that Jair Bolsonaro is dismantling the Lava Jato operation, through the Attorney General appointed by him, Augusto Aras, and creating his own private investigation service.
“Bolsonaro appoints Augusto Aras as Attorney General of the Republic, a name that is even surrounded by suspicion, since he was not on the shortlist of three. And it is Aras who is dismantling this police state of Lava Jato. It is surprising, but we cannot argue with the facts,” Solnik analyzed.
The journalist also stated that "of course Bolsonaro didn't dismantle Lava Jato because he's a democrat, but to have his own intelligence service, through his private service created within the Ministry of Justice."

Brazil's Attorney General, Augusto Aras, did not hold back in his criticism of Operation Lava Jato during a live broadcast by the Prerogativas group, which was retransmitted by TV 247. Aras said: "The entire Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, in its unified system, has 40 terabytes of data."
"For its system to function, the Curitiba task force has 350 terabytes of data and 38 people whose data is stored, and nobody knows how they were selected. It's unimaginable that an institutional unit could operate with secrets, with boxes of secrets."
Regarding the "breach of confidentiality" of the operation - sic - Aras said: "not that the Attorney General is the master of the destinies of 38 people, but that the entire Federal Public Prosecutor's Office can, in a well-founded manner, justify what it wants to know about other people's lives, so that this does not serve as blackmail or extortion."
