Brazil Agency - Even with the announcement of the postponement of the 2020 National High School Exam (Enem)Registration for the exam will not be extended. The deadline ends this Friday (22), at 11:59 pm. According to the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), responsible for the exam, more than 4.3 million students have already registered to participate in this edition.

Digital Enem

There are no more spots available for the digital ENEM exam. The 101,1 available spots were filled last week. This exam is the computerized version of the ENEM. Instead of paper test booklets and answer sheets, participants take the exams directly on a computer.

Candidates will not take the exam at home. The exam will be administered in computer labs at various Brazilian universities. In this option, the candidate will receive an Enem registration confirmation card with the address of the university and the computer lab where they will take the exam, under the supervision of Enem proctors.

Registrations

To avoid errors during registration, Inep recommends that all participants complete the procedure calmly. Students should, for example, carefully verify the information provided. Some of this information cannot be changed after registration is complete.

The information registered with the Federal Revenue Service (name, mother's name, and date of birth) must match the information declared by the person taking the ENEM exam. If there is a discrepancy, the system informs the participant that they need to correct the information with the agency. Registration can only be completed after the data has been updated with the Revenue Service.

Participants who have already completed their registration have the opportunity to make changes to some items in the Enem system, but only until tomorrow, before the registration deadline.

Duties exemption assistance

Applicants who meet the requirements outlined in the notices as beneficiaries of the registration fee waiver will be exempt without needing to submit a formal request. For all others, the fee of R$ 85 must be paid by May 28th via a Federal Tax Collection Form (GRU), generated at the end of the registration process.

New date

In the coming days, the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) will consult with registered participants to define new dates for the exam, which was scheduled for November 1st and 8th (paper-based) and November 11th and 18th (digital).
