"Sex between women is an abomination," says Damares at a clinic for homosexuals.
Two videos of lectures by Damares Alves, Minister of Women, Family and Human Rights, at "sexual restoration" clinics were released by Revista Fórum. In a second video, Damares said that "we, the Evangelical Church, are the ones who welcome sick transvestites and homosexuals." The pastor from the Assembly of God added that "we are not homophobic, we simply speak what we understand according to the Bible, [about] what is sin."
According to Fórum, during her speeches, Damares asked "that certain moments of the lecture not be filmed, as she would be talking about 'serious' things and, therefore, would have 'problems'."
The complaint came from one of the "patients" of the "treatment" who preferred not to be identified due to possible retaliation. In this report, he will be identified as "X," the portal added.
