Civil servants surround Kassab demanding a 39% raise.
Wearing clown noses, blowing whistles and horns, municipal public employees occupy the Chá viaduct to pressure Gilberto Kassab to meet their demands.
Municipal employees held a protest this afternoon in front of the São Paulo City Hall, on the Viaduto do Chá, in the center of the city. Among their demands are a 39% salary increase, extension of the activity bonus, and a review of the career plan. The group used whistles and horns to make noise in front of the municipal government headquarters. Around 14:45 PM, the protesters blocked the right lane of the viaduct, and the Military Police were trying to ensure the flow of traffic.
