247 - The new National Secretary of Youth, Bruno Moreira Santos, from Michel Temer's interim government, has been accused of assault, threats, and sexual harassment by two women. At 24 years old, he is the president of the PMDB's National Youth wing and the son of Minas Gerais state deputy Cabo Júlio, from the same party.

Bruno's appointment was published in the Official Gazette this Monday (20). The salary for the position is R$ 13.974,20.

In one of the police reports filed against Bruno, his ex-partner Vitoria Abreu Alves da Costa states that he assaulted her with "punches, slaps, kicks, and hair pulling, in addition to threatening her with a knife." In Vitoria's police report, she says she was a victim of violence because Bruno did not accept the end of their relationship.

In another police report filed against Bruno in September 2015, a woman who at the time was subordinate to Bruno in a government agency in Minas Gerais reports having suffered sexual harassment at his hands. She said that Bruno made "insistent propositions for a relationship, blatantly praising her, inviting her to accompany him on trips, and using more daring terms, always expressing an interest in having something more intimate with her." In the report, the employee also states that, after her refusals, the advances began to be accompanied by threats of dismissal.

Finally, the employee stated that she would make her cell phone available to the police, as it contains messages with "invitations, compliments, and threats" made by Bruno.

He denied the assaults and harassment.
