In a confrontation with congresswoman Samia Bomfim (PSol-SP), Delegate Waldir, leader of the PSL in the Chamber of Deputies, was questioned about these costs. He tried to avoid the debate. "You don't have to ask me," he said; "But as a representative of the government you have to know, because without this there's no way to vote," Samia retorted.
247 - The leader of the PSL in the Chamber of Deputies, Delegate Waldir (GO), stammered and failed to explain how much the transition to the capitalization regime advocated by the Jair Bolsonaro government would cost the country.

Without a response, Delegate Waldir appealed for the dismemberment of Brazil: "Let's do the following: let's remove the opposition states that don't want the pension reform. Fantastic, we'll approve the reform for the remaining states."
"But don't you know the content of the reform itself?" Samia asked. "Are you here to defend the reform or not? You haven't answered a single question," she emphasized.
No one in the government, including Minister Paulo Guedes, has shown the country the spreadsheets detailing the supposed "1 trillion" in savings from the pension reform.
