247 - Shortly before having her Twitter account blocked By order of Justice Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court, former congressman Roberto Jefferson had launched another attack against the Court's justices.
"I pray every day that God breaks the hands of Barroso, Fachin, and Alexandre de Moraes. May God allow me to witness their defeat and execration in the eyes of the Brazilian people," he posted this Friday, in a threatening tone.
He criticized decisions made by ministers Luís Roberto Barroso in 2014 and Edson Fachin during the 2018 elections. Regarding Alexandre de Moraes, the rapporteur for the fake news inquiry in which Jefferson is a target, he stated that he “will not forgive” the “humiliation” caused by the search and seizure warrants at his home. He also called Moraes a “resentful, communist, and pro-PSDB party member” and said that the same order was issued at his ex-wife's house “to humiliate us.”
This week, Jefferson was also in the news for having made homophobic and racist attacks against ministers of the Supreme Federal Court. The statement triggered a lawsuit. The Brazilian LGBT Association filed a complaint with the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office regarding homophobia.
