247 - The National Federation of Caixa Employees' Associations (Fenae) and the Apcefs will finance social projects in all 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District. Projects submitted to Fenae and Apcefs' Social Responsibility Notice 004 will be executed in partnership with the NGO Moradia e Cidadania. This will be the first time the competition will have a two-year duration, from February 2025 to December 2026. In other words, the selected entities will have a longer period to implement the initiatives chosen for communities in situations of social vulnerability. It is expected that 2.904 people will benefit directly and 8.523 indirectly.
On Tuesday afternoon (4), the president of Fenae, Sergio Takemoto, the director of Social Impact, Giselle Menezes, and representatives of the NGO Moradia e Cidadania, presented the selected projects to the presidents of the 27 Apcefs and to the coordinators of the NGOs in each state.
In this edition of the call for proposals, the initiatives will include the "Fenae com Elas" program, aligned with the "Zero Femicide" campaign of the Ministry of Women, which provides for actions aimed at combating gender violence and, consequently, preventing and reducing the number of femicides in the selected communities.
According to the president of Fenae, Sergio Takemoto, the initiative is a powerful agent of social transformation, as it reaches all states of the Federation. He also highlighted the essential role of the presidents of the Apcefs and the NGO Moradia e Cidadania, as well as the importance of strengthening partnerships with the government to ensure the success of the initiatives. “Without a doubt, for us, these selected projects reaffirm the mission of Fenae, the Apcefs, and the NGO Moradia e Cidadania, which is to bring more opportunities and improvements to a population that most needs care in this country. Now, with the inclusion of a new mission, which is the inclusion of the theme Zero Femicide, which is to work to eradicate this evil that exists in our society,” Takemoto reinforced.
Social transformation - The 27 selected initiatives will receive budgetary support, and the work will be carried out in communities experiencing social vulnerability in areas surrounding the Apcefs.
Another major new feature this year is that all selected projects have a cross-cutting theme focused on Gender Equity. In total, 10 projects focused on complementary education were selected; 9 on the empowerment of women and girls; and 8 on productive inclusion.
