Repulsion towards Bolsonaro separates humans from monsters, says Fernando Brito.

"One day, and it's not far off, this pandemic will divide Brazil far more than any ideology. Between human beings and monsters," says the editor of Tijolaço.

By Fernando Brito, editor of Tijolaço – Jair Bolsonaro's announced barbecue on Saturday will be to "celebrate" 10 Brazilians who have died and 150 who have been infected by the new coronavirus.

We're getting there, after all.

751 deaths in one day, with 10 new cases in 24 hours, should be something to celebrate for death worshippers.

In these macabre times we are living in, none of this is too much to imagine.

The escalating death toll is no surprise, and anyone who thinks we've even reached the halfway point in this horrific journey is mistaken.

If the same growth rate as this week continues, by next Friday the death toll will exceed one thousand per day and the number of infected will be close to 300.

But what interests "good men" is that the money-making machine continues to nourish people's loss of humanity.

None of them will ask for lives to be saved, none of them are capable of saying that everything else is secondary, that the economy is rubbish compared to fathers, mothers, brothers, children…

One day, and it's not far off, this pandemic will divide Brazil far more than any ideology.

Between humans and monsters.
