247 - Speaking to João Vitor Santos of Carta Maior, former Minister of Education Renato Janine Ribeiro defines the current situation as a setback. "I think that a substantial part of the crisis we are experiencing today is the fact that the presidency of the Republic and its closest ministers have lost the respect of society," he analyzes. For him, this became clear in the recent episode of the truckers' strike. "We see a government that doesn't know what to do when the whole of Brazil is practically paralyzed in terms of production and work," he says. And he adds: "Then it becomes clear that it is acting incoherently to try to appease the truckers, the Petrobras shareholders, and sectors that are incompatible."
