"Jair Bolsonaro's plan towards dictatorship 'through democratic means' is already clear and has even been detailed by his vice president, Hamilton Mourão," wrote the journalist.

247 - Journalist Reinaldo Azevedo stated this Saturday (8) that Jair Bolsonaro and Senator-elect Hamilton Mourão make it clear that the far-right's plan for Brazil is to move towards a dictatorship.

In an article in his column on UOLReinaldo criticized statements by Bolsonaro and Mourão defending changes in the composition of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), including increasing the number of justices. "The president for the next four years will appoint the replacements for Ricardo Lewandowski and Rosa Weber, who are leaving the court next year. More than once, the president has referred to these appointments as a chance to increase his presence on the court. He openly says he controls 20% of the justices. He is referring to Nunes Marques and André Mendonça. With a Senate even more reactionary than the current one, if Bolsonaro is re-elected, it opens the way for far-right militants in robes," said Reinaldo.

"Choosing Bolsonaro is choosing not a mere dictatorial temptation, but a project that is already underway and that, to move to the next phase, needs to annul one of the branches of government. None of this would be peaceful. Whatever the outcome, disaster would be certain," the journalist stated.
