Newly elected vice president, Alckmin turns 70 this Monday.

In a post on Twitter, the president-elect, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), congratulated his vice-president.

247 - Vice President-elect Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) turns 70 this Monday (7).

Alckmin, who was governor of São Paulo, was born in 1952 in Pindamonhangaba, a city located about 150 km from the state capital.

In a post on Twitter, the president-elect, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), congratulated his vice-president.

"Good morning. I want to wish a happy birthday to my colleague Geraldo Alckmin, with whom I was yesterday and with whom we will be working together today. I wish him much health and happiness in these next four years that we will dedicate to the future of Brazil. A big hug."
