Queiroga warns that 69 million Brazilians have not received their Covid booster shot and receives a backlash on social media: "buy the vaccine"
"Even you don't believe that. If they really wanted to vaccinate, they would have responded to Pfizer's emails, more than 100 of them," one internet user pointed out.
247 - Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga used social media this Saturday (12) to say that 69 million Brazilians have not yet received the first booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and was met with backlash from internet users.
Despite the ministry having encouraged the use of ineffective medications and delayed the purchase of vaccines during the pandemic, Queiroga stated that, even in the face of the increase in positive cases in Brazil, the government "remains vigilant."
"The Ministry of Health has not lowered its guard at any point since the emergence of the first cases in the world. The number of cases in Brazil is high, but our teams remain vigilant and are monitoring the situation at all times," he wrote.
"Even you don't believe that. If they really wanted to vaccinate, they would have responded to Pfizer's emails, more than 100 of them. WHERE IS THE VACCINE FOR ALL THE CHILDREN? Almost 3 years of pandemic and there's still a shortage of vaccines at the clinics. DENIERS!!!!!", retorted one internet user.
