Pxeira: Let's register Lula and return Brazil to its people.

Cartoonist Daniel Queiroz Galvão, known as Pxeira, who gained international prominence denouncing, through his art, the abuses committed against former president Lula, is in Brasília this historic Wednesday, the moment when Lula's candidacy will be registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), with the support of a large march of social movements; "we will register Lula and return Brazil to its people," emphasizes Pxeira; watch the full interview.

TV 247 - Cartoonist Daniel Queiroz Galvão, known as Pxeira, who gained international prominence with his artwork in defense of human rights, gave an interview to TV 247, this Wednesday (15), highlighting the importance of the fight in defense of democracy and Lula's right to be a candidate. "We will register him and return Brazil to its people," he stressed. 

The artist's socially conscious art denounces to the world the degrading situation that Brazil faces after the coup d'état, as in the work below, created at the Lula Livre encampment. "It has become an international symbol; this image is circulating the world," he comments. 

The artist is also active in the area of ​​LGBT rights. His cartoon, denouncing "Gay Conversion Therapy," gained international attention, being shared by former president Dilma Rousseff and personalities such as Gal Costa, Pablo Vittar, Djavan, Fafá de Belém, Gaby Amarantos, Karol Conca, Nando Reis, Camila Pitanga, and Demi Lovato.

Pxeira, who is in Brasília this historic Wednesday, the moment when Lula's candidacy will be registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), with the support of a large march of social movements, reports that the Free Lula movement is "organized" and "exciting". 

"The supporters are coming from all over Brazil, we expect 50 people for the march. At 16 pm, we will head towards the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) to register Lula's candidacy," explains Pxeira. 

Regarding the presidential ticket composed of Lula and Fernando Haddad, he emphasizes that the former mayor of São Paulo is a great figure in the PT (Workers' Party). "We want to elect Lula, but if the thieves don't allow it, Haddad will be his spokesperson in the campaign; I have great confidence in him," the artist assesses.
