247 - The Workers' Party (PT) has chosen Rio de Janeiro to celebrate its 45th anniversary. The event, which will have the slogan "Roots in the People. Eyes on the Future," will be held on February 21st and 22nd at Armazém da Utopia, in the central region of the city.

According to the party, the celebration will include political debates on topics related to the party's future and the new Brazilian society. On the 22nd, the event will also feature the presence of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), who will participate in the Political Act commemorating the party's 45th anniversary, alongside PT leaders, representatives of allied parties, and social movements.

According to the PT's national secretary of Communication, Congressman Jilmar Tatto (PT-SP), the celebration also reinforces the political momentum of Lula's government.

“Under President Lula’s leadership, in his third term as President of the Republic, Brazil has returned to growth that is not measured only in numbers, but in the smiles at the more abundant table, in the joy of employment or a new home,” he said. “With the people at every step, we have built progress, prosperity, inclusion and social justice.”

The party emphasizes that, upon turning 45, it sets out to "build a new leap in growth and further combat privileges, injustices, and inequalities. To protect democracy, culture, the environment, and to make the energy transition." (With information from...) PT News Agency).
