PT (Workers' Party) takes legal action against the TCU (Federal Court of Accounts) to prevent the assembly that would authorize the privatization of Eletrobras.
Members of Parliament allege irregularities in the sale process of the state-owned company and are requesting an investigation by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque.
Forum Magazine - Due to irregularities in the sale process of Eletrobras, the leader of the PT caucus in the Chamber of Deputies, Reginaldo Lopes, and deputies Bohn Gass, Erika Kokay, Henrique Fontana, João Daniel, Leonardo Monteiro, and Leo de Brito, requested that the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) impose a precautionary measure to prevent the holding of the assembly that would approve the privatization of the company.
According to PT (Workers' Party) parliamentarians, the meeting, scheduled for February 22nd, cannot take place because there are two oversight and control proposals (PFCs) under consideration in the Chamber, authored by Leo de Brito, which point to irregularities in the privatization process.
