PSDB youth and MBL form alliance

The younger wing of the PSDB party, which wants to withdraw from Michel Temer's government, should unite with the MBL (Free Brazil Movement) for the 2018 elections, whether inside or outside the PSDB; the MBL played a decisive role in the coup that ousted Dilma Rousseff in 2016 and has become known as a factory of attacks and defamation on the internet.

247 - The young members of the PSDB party who want the party to withdraw from Michel Temer's government are expected to join forces with the MBL (Free Brazil Movement) for the 2018 elections, whether inside or outside the PSDB.

Conversations between parliamentarians from the group, known as "black heads," and coordinators of the right-wing movement, which played a decisive role in the 2016 coup and, more recently, has dedicated itself to attacks against opponents on social media, have intensified as the pre-election calendar progresses.

"We have a convergence on the parliamentary agenda now and we are talking about eventually launching and supporting candidates from the same party in the election," says Renan Santos, one of the coordinators of the MBL.

"Liberal ideas about reducing the size of the state have united us, in addition, of course, to the presence of both the 'black heads' and the MBL among young people and the power of social networks," says Congressman Daniel Coelho (PSDB-PE).
