PSDB and MDB are negotiating to form a party federation.

Negotiations began three weeks ago and could represent a union of the ticket between pre-candidates João Doria (PSDB) and Simone Tebet (MDB).

247 - The presidents of the MDB, Baleia Rossi, and the PSDB, Bruno Araújo, have begun talks to unite the two parties into a federation. This information comes from journalist Natuza Nery of G1.

According to the journalist, Araújo and Rossi confirmed the start of the dialogue and reported that the negotiations began three weeks ago and, in recent days, have moved to a higher level, reaching the top leadership of both parties.

"The union is not easy, since the parties will need to stay together for four years, but the internal assessment is that the two parties are in the same political camp and that, together, they can find some opening to try to break through the Lula-Bolsonaro duo," says the journalist.

Both parties have launched pre-candidates for the presidency, Simone Tebet for the MDB and João Doria for the PSDB. "The union, therefore, would remove one of these two names from the top of the ticket," says Natuza.
