According to Anfavea, the truckers' strike will significantly affect results for sales, manufacturing, and exports. It is estimated that the automotive industry will lose R$ 250 million in taxes per day.
Losses are also mounting in pork and poultry processing plants. Animals without food for more than 50 hours, milk being thrown away every day, and a drop in port activity are some of the consequences for productive sectors of the four-day truckers' strike.
