Lava Jato prosecutors mock Toffoli.
Prosecutors Deltan Dallagnol and Carlos Fernando dos Santos Lima took to social media to express satisfaction with the victory of Davi Alcolumbre, Jair Bolsonaro's candidate for president of the Senate. Unlike Dallagnol, who expressed satisfaction, prosecutor Carlos Fernando dos Santos Lima, who until last year was part of the task force, mocked the actions of the president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Dias Toffoli. "Poor Toffoli, who lost a night's sleep over this episode for nothing," Lima wrote.
247 - In addition to Deltan Dallagnol, coordinator of Lava Jato at the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office in Curitiba, another prosecutor used social media to comment on the election of Senator Davi Alcolumbre (DEM-AP) to the presidency of the Senate.
Unlike Dallagnol, who expressed satisfaction, prosecutor Carlos Fernando dos Santos Lima, who until last year was part of the task force, used his Facebook page to mock the actions of Minister Dias Toffoli, president of the Supreme Federal Court.
"Poor Toffoli, he lost a night's sleep over this episode for nothing," wrote the prosecutor. His message was shared by Dallagnol. He was referring to the injunction granted by Toffoli in response to a request from Renan Calheiros' (AL) MDB party, which altered the Senate plenary's decision to hold an open vote. Arguing that the plenary's decision contradicted the House's internal regulations, Toffoli ordered a closed vote, which supposedly would have favored Renan.
Yesterday, Dallagnol made no secret of his satisfaction with Alcolumbre's election. "Brazil is changing," he wrote on his Twitter page shortly after the election results.
