The president of Caixa Econômica Federal is expected to leave the bank in March to assume a ministry in Bolsonaro's government.

Pedro Guimarães is expected to assume a political post when ministers leave the government to run for office. He will also assist in Bolsonaro's campaign.

247 with Eduardo Barretto, Metrópoles - Close to Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Pedro Guimarães, is expected to leave the bank next month, when at least 11 ministers will leave the government to run in the elections.

Guimarães is expected to assume a political post in the government, such as that of minister. He is also expected to assist in Bolsonaro's reelection campaign.

The current president of Caixa was even considered, at the end of 2021, as a possible vice-presidential candidate on Bolsonaro's ticket, but the idea did not prosper. At that time, he became the target of the Federal Audit Court (TCU) for alleged self-promotion using the bank's structure.
