By Sabrina Craide/Agência Brasil - On the second day of the National High School Exam (Enem), which takes place tomorrow (12), the opening and closing times of the gates will be the same as on the first day of the exam. All gates will open at 12:00 pm and close promptly at 1:00 pm, according to Brasília time. The exams will begin 30 minutes after the gates close.
Extra caution should be exercised in states with different time zones or that, unlike Brasília, are not observing Brazilian Summer Time. Candidates should arrive early, as in large or very busy locations the time to find the exam room may be longer than expected. Since the ENEM exam is scheduled for the weekend, students should remember that on those days the number of subway, train, and bus lines operating is usually lower.
Due to the time difference in Brazil, in Acre the gates close at 10:00 AM (local time). In the states of Amazonas, Rondônia, and Roraima, candidates will only be able to enter the test site until 11:00 AM (local time). Alagoas, Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, and Tocantins will close the gates at 12:00 PM (local time). In the Federal District, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and São Paulo, the closing time is 1:00 PM (local time).
Tomorrow, the math and natural science exams will be administered, lasting 4 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates who leave the room within two hours of the start of the exam will receive a zero score.
