247 - A large police operation, coordinated by the Civil Police, is underway in 17 states and the Federal District, aiming to dismantle a child sexual exploitation network. The operation has the support of the National Secretariat of Public Security of the Ministry of Justice, the Cyber ​​Operations Laboratory (Ciberlab), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) of the United States.

According to information from the Civil Police, 44 search and seizure warrants are being executed against suspects involved in the storage, sharing, and sale of illicit material, such as photos and videos of child abuse. The investigation began after the Paraná Civil Police seized an electronic device containing images of abuse that were being sold through messaging applications. From this seizure, it was possible to identify a network of users from various regions of the country who exchanged this illegal material online.

Operation Pharos II focuses primarily on eradicating criminal practices involving the online sexual exploitation of children. The targets of the operation are suspected of exchanging illegal child abuse material and, in some cases, selling it. "This action aims to dismantle a criminal network that exploits minors and sells this type of material, providing a strong response to this problem," stated a representative of the Paraná Civil Police.
