Sputnik - The Attorney General's Office (PGR) informed the Federal Supreme Court (STF), this Wednesday (2), that it did not identify any irregularity in the presence of councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ) and advisor Tercio Arnaud in the delegation that accompanied Jair Bolsonaro on his trip to Russia recently.

Despite this, the prosecutor's office asked the Supreme Court to request more information from the Presidential Palace about the trip, emphasizing that the response should be optional "due to the preservation of legal confidentiality," G1 reported.

The PGR's statement comes after a request for an investigation by Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP).

The request was submitted as part of an investigation into the actions of a digital militia, which allegedly acted to attack the Brazilian electoral system.

As the Federal Police have already informed the Supreme Court, presidential advisors and allies of President Jair Bolsonaro are part of this group, nicknamed the "hate cabinet".

Jair Bolsonaro was in Russia between February 14th and 16th.

In Moscow, the Brazilian delegation attended several diplomatic engagements, the objectives of which were to strengthen strategic ties between Russia and Brazil, particularly with regard to trade relations.

Furthermore, Brazil has shown that it intends to deepen cooperation in the defense and agribusiness sectors.

At a press conference, Bolsonaro also spoke about the formation of a technological alliance between the countries in the areas of nanotechnology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, information technology and telecommunications.

During the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted that Brazil is Moscow's main partner in Latin America.

According to data from the Brazilian government, the countries reached US$ 7,5 billion (R$ 38,7 billion) in trade in 2021.
