CRUEL INVENTION

The Federal Police are investigating a Nazi-fascist inspired website for fabricating the claim that Congressman Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS) was the hidden owner of the Kiss nightclub. He lives in Santa Maria and knows several grieving families, which is why the accusation is particularly cruel.

Brazilian congressman refutes allegations that he was one of the owners of the Kiss nightclub.

Paulo Pimenta (PT/RS) is the target of accusations on the internet.

Federal Deputy Paulo Pimenta (PT/RS) refuted, on Wednesday morning, accusations that he was one of the partners of the Kiss nightclub, which burned down last Sunday in the city of Santa Maria, resulting in the death of 235 people. The deputy, who is from Santa Maria, said he was surprised by the allegations, which were circulating on the internet. In an interview with the Bom Dia program, with Rogério Mendelski, Pimenta reiterated that he has no relationship with any of the nightclub's businessmen and does not even know them. "I have never had any relationship whatsoever with these owners of the nightclub," he said.

The congressman stated that all accusations made against him on blogs, social media, and news websites are already being investigated by the Civil Police. Regarding the Kiss nightclub fire, the congressman called for a rigorous change in legislation concerning safety and inspection procedures within nightclubs.

The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Marco Maia (PT-RS), announced earlier this week that he will appoint a committee of parliamentarians to monitor the investigations into the Kiss nightclub fire. The group will be coordinated by Congressman Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS).
