247 - The Federal Police regained control of the Homoxi community this Saturday (11), which is one of the areas of the Yanomami Indigenous Land with the highest presence of illegal mining. The PF set fire to a plane used by miners to access the territory, outside the demarcated area. Images recorded the invaders' camps in flames, after being burned by specialized agents of the corporation.

The Federal Police also set fire to machinery used in mining by illegal miners who persisted in exploiting an area completely degraded by the actions of these invaders.

According to a report by G1, the plane used in illegal environmental activities was found hidden in the middle of the forest and destroyed using explosives. The destruction of the aircraft occurred after inspectors from the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) confirmed evidence that the single-engine plane was being used for illicit purposes.
