247 - The Federal Police are analyzing the possibility of examining the jewelry given by Saudi Arabia to Jair Bolsonaro (PL), which was incorporated into the former president's personal collection and not into the Union's assets, as required by law.

Bolsonaro admitted to keeping a pen, a watch, a ring, cufflinks, and a kind of rosary valued at approximately R$ 500. A second batch of jewelry, valued at R$ 16,5 million and allegedly "given" to former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro, was seized by the Federal Revenue Service after members of an official delegation attempted to illegally bring the items into the country.

>>> Bento Albuquerque testifies to the Federal Police this Tuesday in the case of the million-dollar jewels.

“On Monday (14), Bolsonaro’s defense informed the Federal Police that it would hand over the assets to the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU). Due to the possible expert analysis, the assessment at the Federal Police is that the jewels should not remain at the Court,” highlights the journalist’s column. Andreia Sadi, in G1.

According to the report, the TCU's assessment is that the body should not accept custody of the goods, but rather the Federal Revenue Service until a judgment on the case defines whether the jewels are of a private nature or whether they should be sent to the collection of the Presidency of the Republic. The case should be analyzed by the Court's plenary on Wednesday (15).
