247 - Federal Police experts were able to remotely access data from the cell phone of former Minister of Justice and former Secretary of Security of the Federal District, Anderson Torres, who was arrested as part of the investigations into the terrorist attacks carried out by Bolsonaro supporters in Brasília on January 8th.

According to Andréia Sadi, from g1The Federal Police "obtained authorization from the telephone company contracted by the former minister to access the data available in the cloud," since he did not have the device with him when he was arrested.

When the arrest warrant was issued, Torres was in the United States. Upon returning to Brazil to appear in court on January 14, he stated that he had left the device behind, claiming to have lost it.

"In private, the Federal Police agents stated that the data was stored in the family's account and did not contain any information relevant to the investigation. However, the police said that without access to the device, it is impossible to confirm whether Anderson Torres deleted the data," the report states.

Investigators are searching Torres' device for information about the events of January 8th and about the coup plan, a document found in Torres' home that outlined an intervention by the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government in the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), in a coup plot to prevent President Lula (PT) from taking office.
