247 - Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received a project proposal from Pastor Paulo Marcelo Schallenberger aimed at expanding the PT's (Workers' Party) dialogue with the evangelical segment. According to the newspaper... Folha de S. PaulThe "inclusion project" was presented this week and lists key points such as "bringing pastors who benefited from the PT government for interviews" and encouraging actions related to "acts by previous governments that benefited the evangelical church."

According to the report, the document presented by Paulo Marcelo – who preached for years at the Gideões Missionários da Última Hora congress – also emphasizes the importance of using social media, such as WhatsApp, in dialogue with this segment. The pastor, however, stresses the necessary care to avoid "spreading attacking content, so as not to generate a victimhood narrative, since this is the current government's strategy."

The pastor also believes it is necessary to reverse labels that, in his view, are imposed on the PT (Workers' Party) out of bad faith or ignorance, such as the notion that its members hold an anti-Christian view. The draft of the project was delivered to Lula by the president of the ABC metalworkers' union, Moisés Selerges Júnior.

In response to Lula's moves towards this segment, Jair Bolsonaro is expected to meet with evangelical pastors – who form part of one of his support bases – at the Alvorada Palace on the 8th.
