247 – Educator Neca Setúbal, heiress to Itaú bank, played a prominent role in Marina Silva's presidential campaign, as one of the coordinators of her government program. Today, she says she wants to step away from politics to focus more on education.
In an interview with 'Folha de S. Paulo', however, she doesn't shy away from criticizing the PT: “Regarding the campaign, everything the PT said it wouldn't do, like cuts and interest rate increases, it did. The president's popularity is low. That's all I can say.”
Regarding education, she states that policies such as performance bonuses for teachers only work in public school systems with little inequality, a rarity in the country (read closest).
