Nassif: Ciro is competing for space with Alckmin, not with Lula.

Journalist Luis Nassif observes the movements of the PDT presidential candidate, Ciro Gomes, and considers that he is competing for space with the PSDB candidate Geraldo Alckmin, not with former president Lula; "The space in question consists of bringing together more liberal sectors, frightened by the Bolsonaro hypothesis, the orphans of the old PSDB; and, in the event of a second round with Bolsonaro or Alckmin, the support of the left," he states.

Nassif: Ciro is competing for space with Alckmin, not with Lula.

247 - Journalist Luis Nassif observes this Saturday, the 9th, the tactics of presidential pre-candidate Ciro Gomes and considers that the PDT candidate is competing for space with Alckmin, not with Lula.

"Contrary to what many might imagine, Ciro is not competing for political space with Lula, but with Geraldo Alckmin. The space in question consists of uniting more liberal sectors, frightened by the Bolsonaro hypothesis, the orphans of the old PSDB; and, in the event of a second round with Bolsonaro or Alckmin, the support of the left," analyzes the journalist.

Nassif lists the sectors that are likely to align themselves with Ciro, should his candidacy take off:

"He may have the support of the northeastern governors, who fear the delay in defining Lula's political movement. An approach to the billionaires' club and the Judiciary Party, in addition to the formation of a new coalition bloc, with the DEM and other smaller parties providing the support base, but with an unknown factor about with whom he will share governability: whether with the PT or a bloc more aligned with the PSDB," Nassif projects.

However, Nassif reflects. "Unlike other times, attempts to draw up scenarios are hampered by unprecedented factors of unpredictability. Nobody can be sure of anything," he concludes.
