Current Brazil Network - The National Movement for the Annulment of Dilma Rousseff's Impeachment continues collecting signatures which will be sent to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) so that the 2016 coup can be annulled, through a Popular Action.

"We, from the movement, want to file a class action lawsuit with the Supreme Federal Court to request expedited judgment of..." writ of mandamus, filed by Dilma"So that the impeachment can be judged correctly," explains activist Edison Nazareth dos Santos Britto, in an interview with journalist Marilu Cabañas, from [publication name]. Radio Brasil Today

The movement hopes to collect 1,3 million signatures to pressure the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to "restore democratic legality and the balance of institutions." The collection is taking place in several cities and has a fixed point at the corner of Avenida Paulista and Alameda Campinas, in downtown São Paulo.

The signatures are done on paper. According to Edilson, the idea is to create a closer relationship with the population. “With this, you talk to people. There is enormous misinformation among the population, and many don't know about the writ of mandamus, so this activity clarifies things,” he explains.

On Wednesday (11), the National Act for the Annulment of the Impeachment will be held in Brasília, starting at 12 pm. The demonstration will include cultural activities and a debate with federal deputies Paulo Teixeira (PT-SP), Érika Kokay (PT-DF), Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS), Margarida Salomão (PT-MG), and the president of CUT Brasília, Rodrigo Britto. The event will take place at Espaço do Servidor, in front of block C of the Esplanada dos Ministérios.
