247 - Contrary to what he said on Monday, acting president General Hamilton Mourão stated on Tuesday, February 2nd, that President Jair Bolsonaro was unaware of the dissemination of the pro-coup video through channels of the Secretariat of Communication of the Presidential Palace on WhatsApp. "In theory, he should have known. Now I know he didn't," Mourão declared.

Yesterday, when asked if he thought the release of a video praising the 1964 military coup was right, Mourão replied: "It's the president's decision. It was released by the Presidential Palace, it's the president's decision."

Today, businessman Osmar Stabile introduced himself. as the person responsible for the production and recording of the video. He said that he had no intention of "stirring up the pride, pain and feelings of those who claim to be persecuted by the State Forces," but says he believes that "the efforts of the Armed Forces prevented greater political evils for the nation."

The pro-Bolsonaro businessman also says that he produced the video on his own initiative and with his own resources, and that he has never met Bolsonaro.
