Forum Magazine - Model Viviany Beleboni reported being attacked by five men in downtown São Paulo on Monday afternoon (11). She became known after parading in the LGBT Pride Parade in 2015, representing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
This year the model also wore an iconic costume, representing the scales of Justice and holding a bible with the words "Evangelical Caucus" and "Regression".
According to Viviany, the attackers called her a "demon" and quoted biblical passages while kicking and beating her. The activist reportedly suffered facial injuries and broken teeth.
The beating only stopped when two passersby started shouting. She was taken to a private clinic where she received first aid.
The victim has not yet filed a police report. This is the second time Viviany has been assaulted. Last year, she filed a police report after being beaten by a man, to the point of injuring her face and hands.
She also stated that she wants to leave São Paulo for a while and posted a message about what happened on her Facebook profile.
"Once again, what I wouldn't want to happen to any LGBTQ+ person is happening to me. I just ask for prayers... so that I get better soon... no photos or videos this time, just pray and send positive energy," she wrote.
