Superior Court of Justice (STJ) Minister says he will schedule trial of Marielle case

247 - Minister Rogério Schietti, of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), said this Wednesday (8), that he will schedule, in April, a trial that will decide whether Marielle Franco's family members should have access to the investigations into the councilwoman's murder. The minister made the statement during a meeting with Marielle's family members, reports the journalist. William Amado in the Metropolis.
Schietti received six people in court: Marizete Franco, Marielle's mother; Fernanda Chaves, the sole survivor of the attack that killed Marielle and her driver Anderson Gomes; a representative of the Marielle Franco Institute; and three lawyers in the case.
The minister is the rapporteur for an appeal challenging a decision by the Rio de Janeiro courts.
