Brazil's Tourism Minister says she will remain in office: 'Lula and the Minister of Justice support me'

Daniela Carneiro's statement was made in response to the repercussions of the release of photos showing her alongside a militia member convicted of homicide.

247 - The Minister of Tourism, Daniela Carneiro, stated that the release of photos showing her alongside a militia member convicted of homicide does not threaten her position at the head of the ministry. "President Lula and the Minister of Justice support me. Everything is under control," said Daniela do Waguinho, as she is known, according to the journalist's column. Bernardo Mello Franco, from O Globo. 

“I received over 200 votes. During the campaign, you take pictures with a lot of people,” the minister highlighted, referring to the fact that she was the most voted federal deputy in Rio de Janeiro. She was nominated for the position by União Brasil.
