247 - The National Forum of Working Women of the Trade Union Federations met this week with the National Secretary of Economic Autonomy of the Ministry of Women, Rosane da Silva, at the headquarters of the Union of Workers in Public Administration and Autonomous Entities in the Municipality of São Paulo (Sindsep-SP), in the center of the capital of São Paulo. Among the demands highlighted by the group are the participation of women in collective bargaining; the creation of a pager so that women who are victims of aggressors can quickly contact the police in order to prevent femicides; the implementation of policies to re-educate men, as well as stricter laws against online violence.

The Central Workers' Union of Brazil (CTB) was represented at the event, which discussed policies for the protection and guarantee of rights for working women, by its titular fiscal advisor Mara Kitamura.

"The discussion was productive and several issues were debated, with the aim of increasing women's participation in public policies and expanding women's space in labor discussions and decisions," said the leader.

In response to the suggestions, the secretary made herself available to all and pledged to take the demands to the Ministry for discussion, as well as to facilitate a meeting between the Forum and the First Lady, Janja da Silva.
