247 - The names Miguel and Maria Alice were the most chosen for registering children in 2022 in Brazil. The data comes from Civil Registry Offices and was released this Tuesday (20) by the National Association of Registrars of Natural Persons (Arpen-Brasil). The information is from the G1 portal.

According to the survey, 24.019 girls were named Maria Alice. Compared to last year, the name rose three positions and took the lead, previously held by Helena. Among boys, 26.941 were named Miguel, which maintained its position as the most popular name among parents.
