247 - Meta Platforms stated this Wednesday (26) that it will provide the data requested by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) regarding posts by the Bolsonaro-supporting blogger Allan dos Santos on Instagram.
"In compliance with the order and demonstrating good faith, Meta Platforms will provide the requested data, in a separate confidential procedure, within the given deadline," the company says in the appeal, as quoted by... Folha de São Paulo.
At the same time, the company questioned the basis for the decision.
Last week, Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered the companies Meta and X to provide the Federal Police with data and content from posts by the pro-Bolsonaro blogger within 10 days.
Moraes granted a request from the Federal Police as part of the investigations into the dissemination of false information against journalist Juliana Dal Piva.
Santos is currently in the USA, a fugitive from Brazilian justice since 2021, when a warrant was issued for his preventive arrest as part of investigations into the dissemination of fake news.
