Measures to bring forward the tax reform are being evaluated by the government, says Haddad.
The consumption tax reform will only take effect from 2027 onwards.
BRASILIA (Reuters) - Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Monday that measures anticipating the effects of tax reform on consumption are in the pipeline to be launched by the government.
At an event in the Planalto Palace for the signing of the Acredita Exportação program, which anticipates the effects of the reform for small exporters, Haddad stated that actions of this type could be expanded to other sectors.
The consumption tax reform was enacted by the National Congress in 2023, but its effects will only begin in 2027.
