Marcos do Val shows that his alliance with Bolsonaro remains intact, turns against Moraes, and says he will request the minister's removal.
The removal of Moraes from the case concerning the investigation into anti-democratic acts was precisely the objective of the coup plot allegedly orchestrated by Bolsonaro and Daniel Silveira.
By Guilherme Levorato, 247 - Despite having made revelations on Thursday (2) that harm Jair Bolsonaro (PL), as he was allegedly plotting a coup d'état that involved an illegal wiretap of the Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes, Senator Marcos do Val (Podemos-ES) showed this Friday (3) that his alliance with the former occupant of the Palácio do Planalto is intact.
What appeared to be an accusation against Bolsonaro is now revealed to be part of a plan to target Moraes. According to the plot revealed by the senator, Bolsonaro and Congressman Daniel Silveira (PTB-RJ) wanted to use Do Val to illegally wiretap the Supreme Court Justice in order to obtain some compromising statement that would justify his arrest and, consequently, his removal from the case concerning anti-democratic acts.

During his participation via video conference at the Lide event this Friday (3), Moraes confirmed Do Val's version, that both met at the STF so that the parliamentarian could report the content of the coup meeting with Bolsonaro and Silveira. However, the The judge stated that, when invited to formalize his entire account in a deposition, the senator refused.
Early Friday afternoon, in an interview with CNN Brazil, Do Val denied Moraes's claims: "I inform you that the recent statements by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, in which he says he instructed me to formalize the information about the meeting with Daniel Silveira and former President Jair Bolsonaro, are not true. I can prove that when I informed Minister Alexandre de Moraes about what was happening, in writing and testimonially via WhatsApp message, at no time did I receive instructions from the minister to formalize anything. Therefore, I was not instructed to formalize absolutely anything. Neither through replies to the messages I sent nor personally, during our meeting. I did my job as a Senator of the Republic by communicating everything to the Minister of the Supreme Federal Court, rapporteur of the inquiries into anti-democratic acts, and I also requested that the Federal Police download all messages from my cell phone, including conversations with Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Daniel Silveira. Thus, there will be no doubt and the veracity of everything I have said will be proven."
Finally, Do Val announced that he will ask the Attorney General's Office (PGR) to remove Moraes from the case concerning the investigation into anti-democratic acts. This was precisely the objective of the plot allegedly orchestrated by Bolsonaro and Silveira. "I will be making a request to the PGR to remove Minister Alexandre de Moraes from the case concerning anti-democratic acts," the senator declared.
