247 - Supreme Court Justice Marco Aurélio Mello argued on Thursday (18) that the body should analyze in plenary the case involving the censorship imposed by Justice Alexandre de Moraes on news websites. According to Mello, the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office needs to appeal to the STF.

"I believe the matters will reach what I understand as the Supreme Court, the plenary session. Then, we will have a definitive ruling. The Public Prosecutor's Office must initiate it," the minister stated. Andreia Sadi's Blog.

According to the minister, the way his colleagues Alexandre de Moraes and Dias Toffoli are handling the case is wrong. "They need to take their foot off the gas. Excessive self-esteem is harmful."

Moraes rejected the request from the Attorney General of the Republic, Raquel Dodge, to dismiss the investigation, but, according to the blog, there is a behind-the-scenes movement pressuring the head of the PGR to appeal to the full Supreme Court.
