Mandetta suggests that Bolsonaro talks a lot but doesn't work.

"Those who hold office speak, and those who don't, like me, work," says Mandetta after yet another attack by Jair Bolsonaro on his work as Minister of Health. The head of the Planalto Palace stated in an interview that he is at odds with Mandetta, who is lacking "a little humility." Bolsonaro complained that Mandetta "should listen a little more to the President of the Republic."

247 - Health Minister Luiz Henrique Mandetta said that he does not comment on the actions of the President of the Republic and that, therefore, he does not intend to rebut Jair Bolsonaro's statements about him in an interview with Jovem Pan radio this Thursday (2). But he ended up turning the tables on Bolsonaro, declaring: "I don't comment on what the President of the Republic says. He has a popular mandate, and those who have a popular mandate speak, and those who don't, like me, work," he declared.

The Minister of Health said he is dedicated to analyzing the data on the new coronavirus and is concerned about the development of the outbreak in some regions.

"I think we are facing a new disease, and everyone is learning about it. We will find out what it will do to our health system. I pray to God that none of this happens here, that I am absolutely wrong, that all of science is absolutely wrong," the minister told the journalist. Natalia Cancian in Folha de S.Paulo.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Mandetta and Bolsonaro have been at odds. The minister defends social isolation policies, including the closure of commercial establishments, as a way to avoid crowds and the spread of the disease. On the other hand, Bolsonaro criticizes this policy and the quarantine measures adopted by Mandetta and the governors.
