Bolsonaro undergoes 3 electrocardiograms a day and has an ambulance at his door due to his use of chloroquine.

The revelation was made by former Health Minister Henrique Mandetta, who even ironically compared the medication to "a ribbon from Senhor do Bonfim, a good prayer woman, and vitamin D."

Forum Magazine - Former Health Minister Henrique Mandetta criticized President Jair Bolsonaro's use of chloroquine against the new coronavirus on Thursday (16). Mandetta highlighted the intense monitoring that has been carried out on the former captain's condition in light of the drug's use.

“President Jair Bolsonaro had three electrocardiograms performed daily. One in the morning, another after lunch, and another at night. A doctor was by his side 24 hours a day, and he was being monitored. ICU beds were available to him if needed, and an ambulance was waiting at the door of the Palace. That's not the reality for you, the citizen, who's inside your own home,” the former minister declared in an interview with the program Timeline, on Rádio Gaúcha.

Mandetta also pointed out that the drug makes no difference in the treatment against Covid-19. "Giving chloroquine to a young person of 30 or 40 years old, or giving them a ribbon from Senhor do Bonfim, or a good healer like those here in Mato Grosso do Sul and that must be there in Rio Grande do Sul, the probability of them recovering easily from the disease is 99%, with chloroquine and vitamin D," he stated.
