Malafaia calls Moraes a "dictator" and says that part of the right wing is "prostitute and vagrant."
Besides Malafaia and Bolsonaro, the event was attended by parliamentarians and governors.
247 - During a demonstration held this Sunday (29) on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo, pastor Silas Malafaia harshly criticized the Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, whom he called a “dictator”. Alongside former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Malafaia also attacked a segment of the Brazilian right, which he classified as “prostitute” and “vagabond”. The information is from Metropolis.
The pastor condemned decisions by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) related to investigations into the coup attempts of January 8, 2023. Malafaia questioned the legality of the arrest of Mauro Cid, Bolsonaro's former aide, stating that his plea bargain was inconsistent. "He [Moraes] thought quickly: if I arrest Colonel Cid, his plea bargain falls apart, and if his plea bargain falls apart, the entire basis of the accusation by Attorney General Paulo Gonet, which is throwing his reputation in the trash, rests on Colonel Cid's bogus plea bargain," he declared.
Malafaia continued his criticism of what he considers the passivity of Congress in relation to the Supreme Court Justice. “Why doesn’t this man leave the Supreme Court through impeachment? Because the Senate has the power to do that. And then comes the prostitute and worthless right wing, which sells itself,” he said. In a warning tone, he added: “We have a serious and true right wing, but a large part of it is a bunch of worthless, selling-outs. That’s why in the 2026 election we can’t afford to make a mistake in the senators’ votes.”
Despite its aggressive tone, the event — the seventh called by Bolsonaro since leaving the Presidency — had lower attendance compared to previous rallies, gathering 12,4 people, according to an estimate by the Political Debate Monitor at the University of São Paulo (USP).
Jair Bolsonaro arrived in São Paulo on Saturday (28) and stayed in the residential wing of Palácio dos Bandeirantes, the seat of the São Paulo state government. After the event, it was expected that he would return to Brasília.
Besides Malafaia and Bolsonaro, the event was attended by parliamentarians and governors. According to the leader of the PL in the Chamber, Sóstenes Cavalcante (RJ), 4 governors, 7 senators and 39 federal deputies were present, in addition to 5 state deputies.
