247 - The majority of the ministers of the Supreme Federal Court voted, in the first minutes of this Tuesday (1st), to confirm the individual decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, who ordered the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and the military police of the states to unblock Brazilian highways occupied illegally by pro-Bolsonaro protesters, reports G1.

The case is being analyzed in the Court's virtual plenary session. Justice Alexandre de Moraes' vote prevails, in favor of upholding the decision. Justices Luís Roberto Barroso, Edson Fachin, Gilmar Mendes, Cármen Lúcia, and Rosa Weber concur.

In the individual decision, taken on Monday night (31), Moraes responded to requests from the National Transport Confederation and the deputy attorney general for elections.

Bolsonaro-supporting truck drivers occupied stretches of highways in states across the country this Monday in protest against President Jair Bolsonaro's election defeat.

"That all necessary and sufficient measures be immediately taken by the Federal Highway Police and the respective state military police – within the scope of their duties – at the discretion of the responsible authorities of the federal executive branch and the state executive branches, for the immediate clearing of all public roads that are unlawfully having their traffic interrupted," wrote Moraes.

The minister also stipulated that the PRF director, Silvinei Vasques, in case of non-compliance with the order, would face a fine of R$100 per hour and possible removal from office.
